Migration Posters
To go along with our story about the locust and whale migration, we thought it would be fun to learn about the migration of other animals. Students worked in groups to create a poster to show what they had learned. Then, they had a gallery walk to share their findings.

National GIS Day with Dr. Dawn Wright
We celebrated National GIS Day learning about Dr. Dawn Wright. chief scientist of Esri, and a specialist in marine geology, geography, and oceanography. On July 12, 2022, she successfully completed a descent to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the deepest known point in the Earth’s ocean, located within the Mariana Trench.
After watching Dr. Wright's lives tream, the students then created and coded their own submarines using LEGO Spike. Imagine our surprise when Dr. Dawn Wright walked into the classroom! Being a LEGO enthusiast herself, she was thrilled to see the students' creativity with their LEGO submarines.
